THE ROLE

The EHS Technican is responsible for supporting the effective implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) programs at the Badalona site. This role ensures full compliance with local regulatory requirements and corporate EHS standards, fosters a strong safety culture among all employees, and contributes to the site’s environmental sustainability goals. The position plays a key role in promoting proactive risk management, operational excellence and continuous improvement in line with company objectives.

 

  • Assist in the implementation of EHS policies and procedures in accordance with Spanish legislation and company standards.
  • Support risk assessments, incident investigations, and corrective actions and their documentation.
  • Monitor and report environmental metrics (waste, emissions, water usage).
  • Conduct safety inspections and audits; follow up on findings.
  • Organize and participate actively in training sessions and awareness campaigns.
  • Support and collaborate with internal teams to ensure safe working conditions and environmental compliance.
  • Maintain documentation and records for EHS compliance and reporting.
  • Liaise with various bodies internally and externally (e.g., environmental agencies, safety inspectors, safety auditors, contractors) as needed.
  • Various administrative tasks such as coordination with external companies’ software platforms, EHS related orders.

YOUR PROFILE

  • Passion for Safety and eager to work in the field with people.
  • Bachelor’s degree in occupational health & safety, Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field.
  • Master’s degree in occupational risk Prevention, specializing in Safety, Industrial Hygiene, and Ergonomics & Applied Psychosociology.
  • 1–3 years of experience in EHS roles, preferably within industrial or chemical environments.
  • Fluency in English, Catalan, and Spanish (written and spoken).
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Solid understanding of Spanish EHS regulations and ISO standards (a plus).
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and identify trends for safety and environmental improvements.
  • Collaborative team player who builds positive relationships to promote a safe and sustainable workplace.
  • Flexible and adaptable, able to manage changing priorities effectively.
  • Quality- and results-oriented, committed to continuous improvement and operational excellence.
