Are you a graduate with a background in Physics, Instrumentation, or Chemistry and a passion for electronics and computing? Sun Chemical, a global leader in printing inks and pigments, is seeking a Jetting Lab Technician to join our UV team in Midsomer Norton.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a physics-oriented lab environment, where you'll help shape the future of inkjet technology through hands-on experimentation and electronic testing.

Your role:

  • Operate and maintain jetting rigs to test and characterize ink formulations
  • Be hands-on in assessing new ink technologies and investigating production queries
  • Work with computers and instrumentation to analyze performance
  • Liaise with formulation teams and other departments
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with safety standards
  • Take initiative and work independently once trained

 

Who we are looking for:

  • A graduate in Physics, Instrumentation, or Chemistry
  • Interest or experience in electronics, computing, and hands-on lab work
  • Self-motivated with a practical mindset
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
  • Familiarity with lab safety procedures
