Job Description:
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Chennai & Bengaluru for a "Packaging Technologist". In this role, you will develop and optimize packaging designs, collaborate with internal teams and clients, conduct thorough research and development on materials and techniques, and provide technical expertise in food packaging solutions. The position involves ensuring high-quality, sustainable, and innovative packaging for food and beverage products while adhering to industry standards and regulations.
Training will be provided to allow you the knowledge and skill to perform the following tasks :
Responsibilities:
- Review & validation of all components and Bills of Materials (BOMs) aligned to client briefs, requirements, guidelines and legislative requirements.
- Analyse all technical aspects of components/BOMs in e-halo, for criteria including:

- Adherence to brief/guidelines/legislative requirements.
- Component specifications accurate, logical and fit for purpose/satisfy market need.
- BOM fit for purpose (all components present and compatible).
- At risk material flagging escalation per system functionality and client escalation process.
- Sustainability criteria (recycled content etc) meets client brief/requirements.
- Sustainably sourced certification (FSC/PEFC/SFI) reconciliation.
- Compostable certification reconciliation.
- Perform comprehensive cutter/die-line review against client checklist requirements and ensure cutters for printed/decorated components are fit for graphical use.
- Complete specification and BOM analysis tasks in e-halo on time and as required per team/client processes, accurately articulating any required specification amends/escalations required.
- Where required, supporting Supplier Success Manager by liaising directly with product/packaging suppliers and/or client contacts to provide technical packaging support.
- Following BOM approval, confirm to Supplier Success Manager via agreed reporting format on BOM type, aligned with client invoicing model.
- Developing a thorough understanding of the e-halo platform set-up, configuration, features and benefits.
- Supporting consultancy team in any required technical/structural packaging consultancy projects.
- Continuously updating knowledge on alternative packaging formats, new technological advances, printing techniques or packaging constructions.

Requirements:
- Institute of Packaging Diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Excellent communicator.
