Responsibilities:

 

  • Colour matching using physical and digital equipment to meet quality specifications
  • Understanding of ink chemistry characteristics of different product lines to meet customer requirements.
  • Data entry and import of customer and internal digital color data into color software for color measurements and digital quality specifications (X-Rite).
  • Data entry for each project line detail and quality results in Access database. Use of database to retrieve project conditions, quality specifications, material restrictions, approved product lines for use, formulary design & ratio’s, lab equipment specifications and customer specific alerts.
  • Use and set up of lab equipment to create color proofs in accordance with project equipment configuration, color and physical quality specifications.
  • Use of SAP for assigning product identification codes and existing product search.
  • General housekeeping responsibilities  

 

 

Qualifications include:

 

  • Post-secondary education in chemistry or equivalent experience
  • Preferred minimum of 2 years of experience in ink or related industry
  • Proficient computer skills:
    • Required: MS Outlook and MS Excel
    • Desirable: SAP, MS Access and X-rite software
  • Colour vision proficiency
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Team playAbility to read, analyze and interpret general business procedures
