Job Title: Manufacturing Trainer

Location: Franklin OH 

POSITION SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE: The Manufacturing Trainer plays a critical role supporting the manufacturing training programs at Sun Chemical’s sites. This role will be the primary training resource for the site. The Manufacturing Trainer will lead and direct the training programs for manufacturing employees including onboarding, safety, and on-the-job-training (OJT). This position will play a critical role in the retention and effectiveness of Sun Chemical’s onboarding and training programs for all manufacturing new hires.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Develop and deliver training programs for manufacturing employees on topics such as safety, quality, and production processes.
• Create training materials, including presentations, manuals, and videos.
• Conduct training sessions in both classroom and hands-on settings
• Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make improvements as needed.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as production and quality control, to ensure training aligns with company goals and standards.
• Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices in training and manufacturing processes.
• Provide coaching and support to employees to reinforce training concepts and improve performance.
• Maintain training records and documentation aligned with HR department. 

• Must have flexibility to conduct training sessions during any of the operating shifts.

• Active safety committee team member and provides recommendations for safety process improvements related to training.


REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum two to three years’ experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a training or supervisory role.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to develop and deliver effective training programs.
• Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and needs.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as education, training, or engineering preferred.


POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK: Salaried/Exempt; business hours with flexibility to conduct training sessions during any of the operating shifts.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: Minimal
