Title: Production Operator
Location: Kankakee, IL
Pay Range: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour
Shift: 2nd Shift 3pm – 11:30pm, Monday – Friday & 3rd Shift 11pm - 7:30am, Sunday-Friday
Overview: As a Production Operator, your primary responsibility is to produce high-quality ink in accordance with batch tickets for our customers. You will be responsible for learning the machines and processes involved in production. Success in this role depends on delivering top-quality products on time while maintaining safety as the highest priority.
Essential Job Functions:
- Perform gathering, weighing, and packaging tasks across various manufacturing equipment, including operating computer control system software.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and provide feedback to supervision/management.
- Maintain a high standard of housekeeping throughout the facility and actively participate in 5S activities.
- Carry out all tasks in a manner that ensures a safe working environment for all employees and adheres to the guidelines set by the Quality Management System, including proper documentation for all work areas.
- Collaborate with co-workers to foster a team environment and utilize effective communication skills.
- Undertake additional duties as assigned by supervisors, lead employees, or other management staff.
Required Education & Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED preferred or successfully pass a pre-employment screening assessment.
- At least 1 year of experience in a production/manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with MS Office applications.
- Ability to lift 55 lbs. repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Ability to pay attention to details, organize daily tasks, and operate multiple pieces of equipment at one time.
- Experience with batch manufacturing and forklift operation preferred.
- Basic math proficiency, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Work Environment: Due to the nature of the products, the work environment may be dusty, with potential for staining of shoes and clothing in certain areas. You will work in a manufacturing setting that requires standing, bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 55 lbs. throughout your shift. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, gloves, respirators/dust masks, protective footwear, and uniforms will be required. Overtime may be available and required.
Title: Shipping Operator
Location: Kankakee, IL
Pay Range: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour

Overview:
Responsible for the pulling, packing and shipping of orders, requiring the proper labeling of hazardous materials. Work is performed under minimal supervision following established operating procedures. All work is reviewed for soundness, judgment, overall adequacy and accuracy. Establish knowledge of standard principles, concepts and techniques, works on a variety of shipping functions.
Essential Job Functions:
- Reads open orders and identifies which items are to be pulled for shipping.
- Pull orders for shipping utilizing FIFO method (rotating stock inventory by properly identifying and selecting the older batches first) in an efficient and timely fashion.
- Maintain warehouse storage racks and scanner system.
- Pull stock from warehouse to replenish staging locations.
- Operate lift truck equipment.
- Unload incoming shipments.
- Load outbound shipments and transfers.
- Collaborate with other internal departments to achieve operational goals.
- Assure products are properly labeled and all shipments are secured for shipment per regulations.
- Assure all paperwork is properly filled out and submitted to the office.
- Adhere to all company quality, environmental, departmental and safety policies.
- Follow established safety and work procedures/instructions.
- Maintain work area and warehouse according to the 5S standards established.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Other duties as assigned by a lead, supervisor or other member of management.
Required Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED preferred, or pass a pre-employment screening assessment.
- Two years of warehouse experience
- Prior experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to operate sit down and stand-up forklift
- Computer proficiency.
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs.
- Good attention to detail and ability to prioritize
- Strong math, detail and organizational skills.

Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic
Location: Kankakee, IL
Pay Range: $30.00 - $31.00 per hour
Shift: 3rd Shift 11pm - 7:30am, Sunday-Friday
Overview: This job includes making general repairs to plant facilities and production equipment. To ensure the reliability of production equipment by performing preventive maintenance activities and using best practice techniques for repairs.
Essential Job Functions:
- Performs routine, emergency, and preventive maintenance work on office and plant equipment, machines, and building facilities.
- Assist in maintaining plant security.
- Maintain equipment and tools.
- Dispose of waste materials, empty containers, and piece drums accordingly.
- Calibrate equipment as needed/required.
- Keep work areas clean.
Required Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to read and write.
- Mechanical and Electrical working knowledge.
- Ability to read blueprints and sketches.
- Knowledge of pipe fitting, electrical wiring, and general mechanics
Aptitudes: Must be familiar and thoroughly experienced in all facets of maintenance
- Mechanical: Pumps (positive displacement and centrifugal), drives (gearbox, belt, chain, hydraulic, couplings, motor-electric, motors-air, bearings, shafts, nuts, bolts, taps, and dies.
- Electrical: High voltage 460-volt 3 phase, motor controls, low voltage (120V power and control wiring), AC and DC systems. Computer-controlled systems.
- Utilities: Piping (water, air, and steam) Boilers - understand Steam condensate system - tracing, coils, traps, and pumps. Air Compressor system - including filters, regulators, dryers, and lubricators. HVAC - air handling, blowers, dust collectors.
- Building and Vehicle repairs: Lift trucks - electric EE rated, battery and hydraulics.
Required Education & Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED preferred or successfully pass a pre-employment screening assessment.
- 3 years of maintenance experience in a production/manufacturing environment.
- 3 years of maintenance experience meeting required aptitudes
- Familiarity with MS Office applications.
- Ability to pay attention to details, organize daily tasks
- Basic math proficiency, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Drug Screen and background check are mandatory if you are offered this position.
