The Role
We are looking for an analytical and proactive Production Planner to manage the short- and long-term master production schedule for the Maastricht site. This role is responsible for balancing customer demand, plant efficiency, cost, and inventory to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
The position acts as a key link between Planning, Operations, Procurement, and the Cologne facility, requiring strong attention to detail, a continuous improvement mindset, and commitment to EHS standards to support operational performance.
Main Responsibilities
- Develop, analyze, and maintain short- and long-term production schedules.
- Act as scheduling liaison between Maastricht and Cologne, especially for Sicovinyl.
- Maintain and optimize ERP master data for accurate planning.
- Create purchase orders and supplier forecasts when needed.
- Translate production plans into raw material requirements and coordinate with Procurement.
- Resolve daily production issues together with Operations.
- Provide planning support for Microlen, Micranyl, Sicovinyl, and Blending processes.
- Act as backup for Intercompany Purchasing, Global Planning, and Master Data.
- Create and manage shift plans and give operational instructions to operators.
- Monitor daily production performance and prepare reports.
- Train teams in Operational Excellence tools (OEE / AE) and support Continuous Improvement (CI).
- Handle SAP administration, including PO and TECO.
- Troubleshoot issues related to personnel, quality, demand, and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with EHS standards in all planning activities.
Success Criteria
- High planning accuracy and strong schedule adherence.
- Cost-efficient production planning with minimal changeovers.
- Effective inventory control and optimization.
- Reliable and accurate ERP master data management.
- Improvements in OEE / AE and active participation in Continuous Improvement.
- Clear, proactive communication across teams and sites.
- Strong prioritization, resilience, and leadership in a fast-paced production environment.
The Profile
- HBO/Bachelor’s degree in Logistics or a related field.
- 5–7 years of production planning experience in an ERP/SAP environment.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication capabilities.
- Leadership qualities and ability to motivate teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the chemicals, plastics, or process industry.
- Multi-site planning experience.
- Familiarity with OEE/AE and Lean/CI methodologies.
- Proficiency in Dutch and English (German is a plus).
