Are you a seasoned leader with a strong background in chemical manufacturing and a passion for operational excellence? Sun Chemical B.V. is seeking a dynamic Site Manager / Managing Director to lead our Maastricht site, a key location within our Color Materials division. In Maastricht we produce Pigment Preparations for Plastics.  Pigment Preparations are colorant solutions that are fully dispersed, free-flowing, and easy to meter. They are the more efficient way to color when compared to their powder counterparts.

About the Role

As Site Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of site operations, ensuring safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement. You will lead a team of approximately 90 employees and manage a site with fixed costs of €12 million and assets valued at €47.3 million. This role also includes responsibilities as Managing Director of Colors & Effects Netherlands B.V., acting as the primary liaison with external partners, tenants, and government bodies.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop site operations in alignment with strategic goals and service level agreements.
• Drive transformation initiatives focused on lean manufacturing and cost optimization.
• Ensure high standards in EHS&S compliance and regulatory affairs.
• Represent the site in official matters, including permits and environmental reporting.
• Oversee long-term site planning, including energy optimization and infrastructure development.
• Manage industrial park services and tenant relationships
• Foster collaboration across internal and external stakeholders, including global business units and local authorities.

Your Profile

• Master’s degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.
• 5–10 years of experience in manufacturing, with proven leadership in team management.
• Strong knowledge of EHS&S standards and project management.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strategic thinker with financial acumen and a results-driven mindset.
• High integrity and professionalism, with the ability to represent the company at multiple levels.
