POSITION SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE:
- The Maintenance Reliability Mechanic is responsible for the effective execution of the day-to-day maintenance work processes at the Maumee facility. This position is responsible for the efficient and effective planning and scheduling of all resources (company and contractors) to conduct maintenance activities which results in a minimum downtime and maximum productivity. The Maintenance Reliability Mechanic will utilize skills to manage work priorities, develop job plans, define parts/material requirements, while maintaining costs to meet monthly budgeting.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- The Maintenance Reliability Mechanic will support all policies, goals and objectives of the company, and will represent the company in a knowledgeable and professional manner
- Use SAP-PM to develop work schedules to secure adequate resources to complete preventative, predictive, and planned maintenance. Maintain all records in SAP-PM for plant equipment and maintenance work history including planned and unplanned work scheduled through SAP-PM.
- Ensure that documents associated with equipment inspections, preventive maintenance activities, and other essential records are properly filed and retrievable upon request.
- Collaborate with production to efficiently schedule preventive and planned maintenance
- Track costs and spending within the maintenance department and conduct routine analysis of the spending for reporting to the Production Manager.
- Assist the Production Manager and the site Process Engineer with small capital projects planning and coordinating in the areas of ordering parts and services, cost reporting, and proper allocation of costs.
- Track contractor metrics in the areas of orientation, insurance requirements, and safety certifications
- Build and track inventories for critical spare parts based on a minimum/maximum quantity and create Bill of Materials for associated assets.
- Calibrate, repair and perform preventive maintenance activities on a wide variety of electronic instrumentation including level and pressure transmitters
- Complete high priority daily work orders as needed
- Knowledgeable in PLC and ladder logic operations for automated manufacturing processes
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of 3-5 years in Maintenance/Maintenance scheduling role with emphasis given to individuals with a strong batch processing knowledge
- Strong knowledge of SAP-PM would be a major plus
- Strong computer proficiency with MS Office suite of products.
- Understand computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
- Excellent Oral and Written communications skills are required
- Project Management/Leadership/ Creativity capabilities are required
- This role requires a strong self-starter with a high degree of discipline for time management, allowing for goal achievement
