PURCHASING MANAGER MEXICO (Naucalpan, MX-Hybrid)
Our Purchasing Manager will act as a strategic partner for the operational areas of our business, overseeing national purchasing and distribution. This role will work closely with suppliers, leaders, and managers to streamline processes and ensure the continuous supply of materials.
Key Responsibilities:
- Negotiate with suppliers
- Generate cost vs. quotation vs. market vs. purchase comparisons
- Evaluate suppliers
- Maintain SAP system updated
- Manage the corporate fleet
- Oversee the operational relationship with customs brokers
- Coordinate processes related to foreign trade and international purchases
- Manage purchase orders
- Perform cost simulations
- Validate and confirm the arrival of materials
- Resolve critical material supply issues
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in International Relations, International Business, Accounting, Customs Brokerage, Chemical Engineering, or Industrial Engineering
- 3 to 5 years of experience in similar roles (Senior Buyer, Purchasing Manager, Assistant Purchasing Manager)
- Required industry experience: Chemical or manufacturing industries
- Intermediate English proficiency
- Availability for occasional travel
Skills:
- Knowledge of Incoterms
- Experience in customs procedures (imports and exports)
- Understanding of regulations for hazardous materials (air, sea, and land, both national and international)
- Proficiency in SAP
- Technical knowledge of basic raw materials
- Strong planning skills
- Negotiation abilities
- People management experience
- Teamwork skills
- Integrity and adherence to procedures and regulations
