Job Summary

To support and contribute to the growth of pigment business through technical service and quality control requests (lab work, demonstration material, sales tools and related activities etc.) based on customer and market requirements.

 

Job Duties & Responsibilities

1) To provide technical support to Customers / Sales Team (South Asia Plastics)
    To consolidate data on customer needs including product application, service requirements market trends etc
    To coordinate with the customers to update information on the on-going projects or initiate new projects by visiting the customers
    Collaborate with customers to understand their needs and provide cost-effective solutions
    Complete test report and document data properly
    To help with new business opportunities, troubleshooting and benchmarking against competition
    To identify future customers by technical evaluation of products, new shade developments etc.
    Prepare marketing tools for new launching pigments and conduct training to customers and distributors

2) Lab Management
    To monitor maintenance & calibration of lab Instruments / equipment.
    To monitor availability of lab resources like lab chemicals, stationery etc.
    Ensure efficient and effective utilization of laboratory assets and resource.

3) Quality Control of Pigments
    Quality Control of CMP products in various applications (like Plastics, Coating, Inks etc.)
    Testing of customer specific pre-shipment samples.
    Complete test report and document data properly

4) To coordinate with the Global Technical and Marketing team for project updates and documentation

5) Ensure adherence to Lab Safety compliance
    Zero lab accident, compliance with EHS rules and regulation. No working time lost accident.
    Participating in 5S, contribute ideas for further improvement

6) Other duties as assigned

 

Position Requirements

A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Material Science, or a related technical discipline is typically required. Advanced degrees or certifications in laboratory management or technical support can be advantageous.

 At least 7 years of experience in a laboratory setting or technical support with experience in color pigments. Understanding of the market’s needs with regard to products and innovation in which the business is active. English in written and spoken.
