What You'll Be Doing – The Process Engineer will support site manufacturing operations by providing quality and process troubleshooting assistance, leading process optimization projects, managing capital projects, coordinating new product introductions and implementing improvement ideas to achieve site objectives in the most safe, economical and efficient manner.

 

Required

 

Education

  • Degree in Chemical Engineering is required
  • Working knowledge of chemical processes both batch and continuous operations required
  • Functional computer skills (Microsoft office, SAP) required
  • Working knowledge of technical computer skills (ASPEN, OSI PI, CAD) preferred

 

Experience

  • Minimum FIVE years of technical experience in the chemical industry required
  • Working knowledge of OSHA Process Safety Management (PSM) Requirements preferred
  • Familiarity developing Standard Operating Procedures required
  • Experience in process design and advanced data analytics preferred
  • Must be able to work independently, possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and serve as a member of or interface with multi-disciplinary teams.

 

Skills

  • Strong analytical skills and demonstrated success in implementing Operational Excellence improvement tools such as Lean, Six Sigma, SPC, etc. in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively with all levels of personnel in a matrix organization
  • Root cause analysis and problem solving
  • Planning and prioritizing effectively to meet deadlines
  • Taking initiatives; being open to new ideas
