Job Title: Material and Distribution Requirements Planner
Work Location: Hybrid - Northlake, IL
The North America Packaging & Graphics business unit is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Material and Distribution Requirements Planner.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing the flow of materials into our customer facing warehouses as well as to support the flow of import materials into our distribution network. This role plays a critical part in our operations and requires strong organizational skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced matrixed environment.
Essential Job Functions:
- Maintain master data in SAP and support external data repositories
- Collaborate with manufacturing, logistics, global supply chain and procurement to ensure adequate supply and inventory levels for assigned materials and locations
- Support material availability requests coming from customer service or internal customers
- Work closely with the outbound MRP Controllers to support successful OTIF metrics
- Ensure compliance to establish company work rules and safety policies.
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management or relevant business degree OR
- High School Diploma/GED plus 4 yrs purchasing or supply chain planning experience
- SAP experience preferred
- Strong Excel skills required, Expert level preferred
- Basic knowledge of inventory management principles and techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a matrixed / cross-functional team environment
- Strong attention to detail and organization skills
- Self-starter, good time management, desire to grow in a large multi-national corporation
Key List of Duties or Behaviors:
- Support the regional and global supply chain teams in efficient planning activities
- Complete all SAP transactional requirements to fulfill internal and external demand with limited supervision
- Manage master data to drive inventory targets to agreed levels, minimize dormancy and excess, but maintain high OTIF
- Monitor inbound goods for timely arrival and manage repercussions of shortage or delay
- Proficient use of websites for tracking international logistics status
- Responsible for managing communications to internal parties regarding supply status
- Any other miscellaneous duties as assigned
