Title: Maintenance Mechanic

Location: Northlake, IL

Pay: $33.20 - $33.65

Shift: 2nd Shift. Monday - Friday 3-11:30 PM

Overview:

Performs routine, emergency and preventive maintenance work on office and plant equipment, machines and building facilities.

Essential Job Functions

• Assist in maintaining plant security
• Maintain equipment and tools
• Dispose of waste materials, empty containers, and piece drums accordingly
• Calibrate equipment as needed/required
• Keep work areas clean
• Can perform up to 60% of procedures within the department

Required Education and Experience:

• Pumps (positive displacement and centrifugal), drives (gearbox, belt, chain, hydraulic, couplings, motor-electric, motors-air, bearings, shafts, nuts, bolts, taps and dies.

• High voltage 460-volt 3 phase, motor controls, low voltage (120V power and control wiring), AC and DC systems. Computer controlled systems.

• Piping (water, air and steam) Boilers - understand Steam condensate system - tracing, coils, traps and pumps. Air Compressor system - including filters, regulators, dryers and lubricators. HVAC - air handling, blowers, dust collectors.

• Lift trucks - electric EE rated, battery and hydraulics.
  
  

• Ability to read and write and do simple arithmetic.

• Working knowledge of mechanics

• Ability to read blueprints and sketches

• Knowledge of pipe fitting, electrical wiring, and general mechanics

• High school Diploma or GED Required
