The Finance Analyst will play a pivotal role in driving financial analysis, planning, and decision-making processes within our corporate finance team. Leveraging expertise in financial modeling, data analysis, and strategic insights. This role will collaborate cross-functionally to support key initiatives, optimize financial performance, and facilitate informed decision-making at both operational and executive levels. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

 

  • Analyze monthly and quarterly financial reporting packages, including investigating variances against budget and prior year and summarizing financial data
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad hoc financial analyses for management and parent company, including analysis of key financial statement accounts
  • Develop strong working relationships with key finance personnel throughout the global organization
  • Assist in preparation of year-end financial statements and footnotes, and parent company reporting package
  • Assist in preparing supporting schedules for quarterly audit reviews, quarterly JSOX reviews and year-end audit
  • Track foreign currency exchange rates and prepare monthly reporting instructions to be distributed to the global organization
  • Prepare quarterly reporting for government surveys
  • Apply working knowledge of the ERP system (SAP) and assist in investigation and analysis of account balances and transactions
  • Acquire a working knowledge of the consolidation system (Magnitude/BFC) and assist in the preparation of the worldwide consolidation, including preparation of consolidation journal entries, reconciliation to SAP, and reconciliation of management accounts
  • Assist in the administration of the consolidation system (Magnitude/BFC), including report writing and maintenance, data interface from ERP systems, creation of controls, and running consolidations
  • Assist in the interface between the consolidation system and the parent company reporting system
  • Prepare monthly consolidation journal entries (including intercompany reconciliation entries, consolidation eliminations and reclasses)
  • Track and follow up on field unit requests as needed during the Budget and Forecasting processes, including assisting in preparation of the input files
  • Assist Corporate Financial Reporting and Corporate Accounting groups with special projects and ad hoc reporting as needed

 

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
  • Minimum 3 years experience in a finance role. 
  • Strong research and communication skills (oral and written).
  • Proficiency with MS Word, PowerPoint & Excel (including pivot tables).
  • Strong ability to work as a team member in a fast paced, multitask environment.
  • Good organization skills, detail-oriented.

 

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  •  Big 4 Auditing experience
  • Minimum of 3 years relevant experience required
  • SAP and Magnitude/BFC experience a plus
  • CPA a plus
