Location: Ambler, PA (Must reside within reasonable commuting distance)

We are seeking an experienced  Techical Service Rep with excellent color matching skills to join our team in Ambler, PA. This role is critical in supporting our metal decoration ink operations and ensuring precise color matching within established visual and spectrophotometric guidelines. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of color theory, excellent technical skills, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, customer-focused environment.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Color Matching Expertise:
  • • Accurately color match metal deco paste inks to meet visual and Spectro standards.
    • Apply principles of color science to achieve consistent and high-quality results.
• Customer Interaction & Support:
  • • Work effectively with Crown Color-Center leadership and navigate dynamics with an established competitor onsite.
    • Provide direct support to active 2-piece metal deco customers, including sharing ink formulas, printed IGT samples, and system updates for visibility across the ink network.
    • Adapt to customer needs and manage a busy daily workload on-site.
• Ink Room Management:
  • • Oversee ink room equipment, order consumables, and coordinate maintenance.
    • Maintain organized workflows and ensure operational readiness.
• Portfolio Development:
  • • Utilize available time to expand color options by matching remaining inks within the INX color portfolio.
• Travel & Training:
  • • Ability to travel to Sun RCML and/or Sun metal deco customer sites for on-site support and training as needed.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:  

• Proven experience in color matching and a solid understanding of color theory principles.
• Familiarity with sheetfed and metal deco paste inks and related processes.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective customer interaction.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel as required.

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:  

• Experience with spectrophotometers and color measurement tools.

X-rite (CMA Software Training or Color Cert)

• Knowledge of ink formulation and printing processes for metal decoration.
