Position Title: InPlant Ink Supervisor 

Location: Garlock Printing, Reno NV

As the incumbent in this position, your primary duty involves supervising the In Plant operations at the customer's site. This encompasses maintaining operational expenses, fostering employee development, monitoring employee performance, implementing standard procedures, reporting key performance indicators, coordinating vacation coverage scheduling, and ensuring safety protocols. 
 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Serve as the primary contact for operational In-Plant issues between the Customer and Sun Chemical. Collaborate with Sales, Customer Technical Service, and internal teams to deliver effective technical support tailored to the customer's needs.
• Offer robust technical support on the press side.
• Conduct color matching and formulation tasks.
• Conduct performance management reviews for in-plant personnel, oversee employee training and development initiatives, and collaborate with the Regional Manager and HR on employee relations matters, including addressing performance issues.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and provide monthly reports on operational performance.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• BS Degree or equivalent industry experience.
• 5 years of general industrial management experience.
• Strong knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Requires a high degree of interpersonal skills to be successful.
• Reporting is also a requirement; therefore, strong written communication skills are required.
• Well versed in a variety of dispensing software platforms (Novaflow, Mixmaster, etc.) and color matching technologies (X-Rite, GSL, etc).
• Strong pressroom and printing process knowledge
