Job Description:
Sun Chemical Korea Ltd., a subsidiary of DIC Corporation(https://www.dic-global.com/en/) and Sun Chemical (https://www.sunchemical.com/), is seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales Professional to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales and managing customer relationships in the pigments sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Account Management: Plan how to establish and maintain account relationships and meet personal sales targets for each assigned account by calling and visiting existing/prospective customers to understand and identify their needs.
- Customer Support: Coordinate and work with technical, customer services, and logistics personnel to solve customer complaints.
- Data Consolidation: Consolidate data on customer needs, including product application, services requirements, buying cycles, delivery schedules, and internal regulations like pricing structure to secure/enhance business opportunities and identify future customers.
- Forecasting: Update customers' demand forecasts as accurately as possible.
- Industry Awareness: Maintain up-to-date awareness of industry trends, technical developments, market activities, and industry intelligence to help define the marketability of products and report identified trends to the supervisor.
- Market Activities: Maintain up-to-date awareness of market activities and industry trends, recommending modifications or changes in strategies/practices to the supervisor.
- Sales Calls: Make regular sales calls/visits to develop professional relationships and follow up on needs with the aim to close deals and finalize contracts.
- Global Coordination: Schedule, lead, and support global managers' visits to customers for sales/marketing development and technical discussions/solutions.
Competencies:
- Language Skills: Proficient in English writing, speaking, and technical communication.
- Experience: 3 ~ 5 years of experience in the pigment or the chemical or related field for displays, coatings, plastics, cosmetics, inks, or building materials industries.
- Knowledge: Preferably knowledgeable about pigments.
- Interview Process: The selection process includes a first interview and optionally a second interview
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Preferably Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- Positive, accountable and proactive competencies are preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to drive a car
- Willingness to travel as needed.
